Those calls keep coming
You have just sat down for a meal, or to watch the news on television, the phone rings and on answering, a voice says " we are doing a survey in your post code area about double glazing " or " You have won a prize and been selected for a special offer " or the most annoying of all a pre-recorded message or total silence.....This is cold calling, and it happens far too often.
As far as the Campaign Against Cold Calling is concerned this type of call should be banned. These calls are an invasion of your privacy. I, myself have had up to 30 of these calls in a week, including calls from companies, that have themselves called 2 or 3 times even after being asked not to.
Even after signing up to the Telephone Preference Service, which should opt you out of these calls, they still keep coming.
The aim of the CACC is to put pressure on the British Government to make these calls illegal, and stop those companies, individuals, political parties and all other organisations from making these calls.
